Thanksgiving Two

We showed up a little early and decided to help out by vacuuming. Well she finally faced her fears and tried it out. Now all I have to do is get her to vacuum all of her cereal spills every day!


As soon as Ian and Shannon arrived we pulled out the Jenga, and after something like 15 years of not playing it, we soon became enthralled with it. This was Charlie's first and last game as it proved much too stressful keeping it from falling with a crash!


My mom made her incredible chicken enchiladas for dinner. My brother and I went through a bunch of old boxes, and we watched some USC football.

Before dinner though we took a group photo. At first we were facing the sun to get good light, but nobody could bare it even for a second!




Lizzy and I are grateful for our families. We are very blessed and fortunate to have our parents and siblings around and close by. We love you! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Thanksgiving One

We have two Thanksgivings again this year. We spent Thanksgiving day with Lizzy's family. Delicious food and good company, but unfortunately not enough photos to show the festivities. Tomorrow we will be with my family in Victorville. Pictures from that to come.

Uintah United

An old missionary friend of mine made a great documentary film about the city of Uintah and a man named Golden Kilburn. You can check out the trailer HERE, or buy the dvd HERE.

I went out to Ogden to visit him for the premiere of his film. I had such a great time visiting the beautiful town and visiting the Ogden Union Station and Weber State University.



My friend, Issac, works at the Church Administration Building on Temple Square as a film producer.



We walked through all of the underground tunnels below Temple Square that lead from building to building. A lot warmer than walking up above. He showed me all of the behind the scenes of the Conference Center and Tabernacle. Pretty amazing spaces.


Weber State University has an amazing campus. It was really nice. This is a pond out front where they have ducks, a quiet place to study.


We also visited an Aviation Museum in Magna, that has an impressive collection of pilot outfits, uniforms, and helmets.




The strangest place we went to was an army surplus store, Smith and Edward's. They have a huge store surrounded by two huge junkyards of stuff you could buy.





The Last highlight of the trip was the purpose of the trip itself, to see Issac's film, Uintah United at the Peery's Egyptian Theatre. The place was amazing. With stars in the ceiling that light up, and an organ player while you take your seat playing old movie themes. A huge crowd came for the one time showing, and afterwards there was a reception. What a great weekend. Thanks Issac.

Book Sales

My friend and I made a book together. I also made one on my own. We sat at a table and sold them at work one afternoon as part of a new annual event, called Dream-Con. Like a small Comic-con for the employees to share their personal work. It was a blast and we sold quite a few books.




The books were hand stitched, mostly by Ted (those are his hands).

Nearby Fires

I went outside last Saturday morning to go to garage sales and visit people. The sight was pretty intense. The ground was orange and I knew the must be smoke around the corner. This fire was just a couple of miles away. Luckily, by noon most of the smoke had blown to the other side of the mountain. I think the fire is out now.

Picnic in the Park

We had a picnic at a park near my parent's house a few weeks ago.  She decided to snuggle up with grandma. That's the sign that it's her bedtime. She will get a blanket and snuggle with you, but if you ask her if she's tired or wants to go to bed she will never admit it.

Halloween Fun

Halloween was very fun. She was a natural. At the first house, she walked right up to the door without us, she felt the call of candy. When the door opened she walked in without hesitation.

We decided to use the Tigger outfit we got from my Uncle Steve, since a hospital patient gown would have been cold and kind of boring without us dressed up next to her, haha.

THANKS to our great friend Cheryl for making her a cute candy bag with her name on it. She loved it.



Her cousin finally showed up and our daughter went nuts! They are very cute together.

After trick-or-treating we took her outfit off and she was sweating like crazy! Again with the wild hair.

Making Dinner

Rebekah decided she was going to help me out in the kitchen.

Every morning she asks for the Bee Movie, don't ask us why. She loves it though.

Wednesday I came home and Liz said she found her in the restroom doing a little scene reenactment from the movie.
