Vacationing

Well, Lizzy and I got to finally go to Hawaii. We were very blessed to spend time there with my brother and his wife, and just me and Liz (The kids had a blast without us).

DAY ONE:
Our flight was seriously delayed, we spent a lot of time at the airport. We lost a day, more or less, and got there at night.

DAY TWO:
Lizzy slept in. I went for a drive and got some breakfast for us and snacks for our hike. It was a fairly private hike, mostly locals jogging up and down it. Then we went to a beach nearby where they were shooting Hawaii Five-0. The hike was definitely a highlight, it was so beautiful.

In the evening we went up to North East beaches, across from the Dillingham Airfield, where they shot many of the beach scenes for Lost. It was the one place I HAD to see in Hawaii.

On our way home we drove past miles of pineapple fields! We stopped at the Dole Plantation and got the most tasty pineapple ice cream in the world! (at least that I've ever had).

DAY THREE:
My brothers flight was also really delayed, so we hooked briefly the night before. The next morning we went for a hike with a view of Waikiki.

DAY FOUR:
We went to the Temple and there were these perfect flowers. They looked fake! Afterwards we spent the rest of the day at the Polynesian Cultural Center. We had a blast.

DAY FIVE:
We came home. Since we packed everything in carry-ons we didn't lose any luggage ;)

It's so Charming

My little princess got a jewelry making kit from her cousin for her birthday.

She couldn't wait to start playing with it, so we invited some friends over and had a jewelry making party.

Story Time

It's amazing how captivated these kids are by books.

New Kids Chairs

I forgot to post about this. I found these cool kids chairs at a garage sale. I've bought a few others since, but more on that later.
