Our little girl began taking swimming lessons. It was awesome having the kids go down for bed...and actually fall right to sleep. She enjoyed it so immensely that she wanted to join the community swim team.
This mprning she had her first swim meet! She swam the whole distance of the pool. We were so proud, to say the least.
Here's how it went down.
At 7:30am they did a quick swimming warm up.
They wrote the heat number (22nd race!)
The team did a loud cheer that weirded her out a little bit. I think it caught her by surprise, haha.
After that it was a long 2 hour wait for her race. She was still a little wet and her feet were so cold.
Sweet heart.
She put her clothes back on and played with her brother until they called her name to get ready.
Then she waited some more.
And off she went. Here are some stills from the video we took.
As soon as she finished she asked for a donut, so we went to a nearby donut shop and she picked the biggest one they had.
